SIH Invests €1 Million in Slovak MedTech Startup Seerlinq

Bratislava, October 28, 2026 – Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) has invested €1 million in Seerlinq, a Slovak technology company developing non-invasive remote monitoring for patients with heart failure. SIH’s investment forms part of a €1.5 million funding round, which also includes private co-investor LongTaal. The investment was made through a direct equity investment.

SIH’s investment is financed from the resources of Slovakia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan under Component 9, which focuses on improving the management of, and strengthening funding for, research, development and innovation.

Seerlinq operates in digital healthcare and telemedicine. Its software platform processes data collected from devices such as pulse oximeters and wearables, helping clinicians monitor patients outside hospital settings and identify signs of deterioration at an early stage.

The solution is primarily designed for patients with chronic heart failure. The product is certified as a Class IIb medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). The company is also progressing through the process of obtaining US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for the US market.

“Heart failure places a significant burden on both patients and healthcare systems. Seerlinq has developed a Slovak technological innovation with the potential to enable earlier detection of patients’ deteriorating health outside hospital settings. We believe our investment will help the company strengthen its regulatory, product development and commercial capabilities, and expand the use of its solution in international markets,” said Juraj Jusko, Director of Direct Investments at Slovak Investment Holding.

“Seerlinq impressed us with its unique approach to non-invasive heart failure monitoring, addressing a condition that is one of the most common causes of hospitalisation. Of particular importance is the fact that its accuracy approaches that of invasive methods, which represent the gold standard, and that its practical application has also been demonstrated in clinical practice. We believe Seerlinq has the potential to make a significant contribution to more modern patient care, and that our investment will help the company realise that potential,” said Matej Mišík, LongTaal representative on Seerlinq’s Supervisory Board.

The company will use the funding to further develop and commercialise its product, advance regulatory and certification activities, including preparations for the US market, expand its team, validate its business model and scale up its commercial operations. Seerlinq is already implementing its solution in Slovakia and Germany and is developing clinical and commercial partnerships in other markets.

The company is also working to integrate its solution into wearable devices and is developing an application for smartwatches. Its platform is hardware-independent, allowing it to use data from a range of compatible devices.

“As a cardiologist, I see every day that patients with heart failure arrive at hospital too late – at a point when their deterioration could have been detected several days earlier. Seerlinq addresses this problem. We are bringing information about the heart’s condition, previously available only in hospital, into patients’ homes, giving clinicians the opportunity to intervene before hospitalisation occurs. The investment from Slovak Investment Holding and our private co-investor will enable us to accelerate our preparations for the US market, strengthen our team and scale a solution that is already being used to help patients in Slovakia and across Europe. We value the fact that public funding is supporting a certified technology developed in Slovakia and supported by clinical evidence, with the ambition to shift heart failure care, both at home and internationally, from treating complications to preventing them,” said Allan Böhm, Founder and CEO of Seerlinq.

SIH’s investment in Seerlinq builds on its support for innovative Slovak companies developing technologically advanced solutions with the potential to succeed in international markets. The investment supports the development of a Slovak digital healthcare solution that combines medical expertise, software and data analytics.
