SZRB Asset Management is changing its name to Slovak Investment Holding

19.09.2018

Bratislava, September 19, 2018. SZRB Asset Management is renaming itself Slovak Investment Holding. Other companies in Slovak Investment Holding’s portfolio are also being rebranded.

CEO of Slovak Investment Holding Ivan Lesay explains the reasons behind this move: “SZRB Asset Management has earned a reputation as a reliable, innovative and successful investment partner, with more than four years of experience in the market. As Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) was the flagship company through which most of our investment projects were financed, our business partners have naturally grown to view the entire group under that name. Even after the name change, SIH will remain 100%-owned by the Slovak Guarantee and Development Bank. We are grateful for the support and cooperation the parent bank has provided and will continue to provide.”

SIH and its companies support projects in infrastructure, energy efficiency, waste management, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the social economy, with investment capital drawn from European Structural and Investment Funds and resources from both public and private investors. SIH financing is based on repayable assistance, not grant aid, which means that all financial resources invested through companies in the SIH Group are paid back and subsequently reused by the SIH Group to support new projects. Ivan Lesay says, “In areas where it is economically viable, we consider repayable financing to be the most effective way of using public resources for investment.”

Besides changing its name to SIH, other companies in the group are acquiring new names. The Slovak Guarantee and Development Fund is becoming the National Development Fund I (NDF I), while the original company - Slovak Investment Holding - is renamed the National Development Fund II (NDF II). Slovak Asset Management is retaining its current name. Consultancy-related activities within the Investment Plan for Europe will be grouped under the banner of the European Investment Advisory.
