SIH is once again among CESAwards 2020 national finalists

Bratislava, December 1, 2020 – Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) is once again one of the national finalists for Central European Startup Awards (CESAwards) in the category Investor of the Year 2020.

Slovak Investment Holding has recorded a number of significant achievements over the past year. We have completed a couple of venture capital investments in innovative Slovak companies such as:

• OMNIA KLF
• GymBeam

We have signed the cooperation agreements on loan financing to support social economic activities and SMEs. In the social economy sector, SIH and Slovenská sporiteľňa set up a joint venture to support affordable rental housing.

Another important milestone for SIH was the historical investment of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the fund (Venture to Future Fund) managed by SIH.

This year, the EIB also supported SIH in a project that will jointly bring more investments in the energy efficiency sector to the Slovak market.

An integral part of the year 2020 for SIH were financial instruments created to support the economy affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
