SIH to invest into NEXINEO

23.04.2021

Bratislava, April 23, 2021 – The Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) has signed an investment in NEXINEO as part of its SIH Anti-Corona Capital Programme, which channels development capital to innovative companies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEXINEO* is a Slovak technology company operating in the field of development of virtualized computer solutions for schools and large organizations. NEXINEO products replace the usual computer set-up (1 PC per user) with a centralized solution using the so-called client (a device to which only peripherals connect), while all computing and graphics power is delivered to the device from an on-premise server or cloud. Above all, these solutions bring organizations cost savings of up to 75%. With sufficient server capacity, the connection of additional users or students can be realized by simply connecting other clients. The devices have a long service life and low failure rate, so it is not necessary to replace them individually over time as with traditional PC’s, but it is only needed to upgrade server performance. NEXINEO products also bring easier maintenance and program updates, sufficient performance for graphics-intensive applications (AutoCAD, Invertor, etc.), energy savings, a significant reduction in electronic waste, and additionally they do not swirl dust in the rooms because they do not contain moving parts. At the same time, schools will also appreciate a dedicated learning environment and monitoring, where the teacher can monitor the progress of students in solving tasks on their own desktop, help them from their device in solving them or block the use of other programs.

NEXINEO equipment is already used in Slovakia by more than 200 schools and the company is rapidly expanding in the V4 region and also targets other EU markets. SIH's investment will help NEXINEO expand internationally and complete its own virtualization software.

“The convertible loan programme from SIH was a great opportunity to secure funds for NEXINEO’s growth. The investment process and cooperation with SIH was fast and professional and we are thankful for the opportunity to participate in SIH’s Anti-Corona Capital Programme. We believe this investment will allow us to further fuel our international expansion,” says Stanislav Chlepko, CEO of NEXINEO.

The partners of the SIH Anti-Corona Capital Programme are the Slovak Alliance for Innovative Economy (SAPIE) and the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic.

* Until 2020, NEXINEO operated under the name SINO.
