The European Investment Bank Group is an international financial institution owned by EU Member States. The EIB's mandate is to support investment projects in the EU and the world through preferential lending, guarantees and/or capital investments. The EIB Group is divided into the following two institutions:
- The European Investment Bank
- The European Investment Fund
SIH’s cooperation with the EIB Group is based on the following main lines:
- Leveraging/combining SIH’s financial resources with those of the EIB Group in joint investment projects (e.g. D4 R7 Project)
- Cooperation in the context of the Investment Plan for Europe, specifically during the implementation of the European Strategic Investment Fund and theEuropean Investment Advisory Hub
