The state has invested four million euros in innovative startups (INFOGRAPHIC)

Bratislava, March 8, 2022 - During the pandemic, Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) has also used EU funds to provide loans to Slovak start-ups where it sees growth potential. It has launched the SIH Anti-Corona Capital Programme, investing almost four million euros in innovative companies in two rounds, the return on which is in the form of shares or stock.

What are the benefits of financial instruments and how is Slovakia using them? (INFOGRAPHIC)

Bratislava, January 20, 2022 - In the current programming period, Slovakia is also drawing EU funds through financial instruments. More than one billion euro, which is roughly seven percent of the national euro fund allocation, has been earmarked for financial assistance, which must be returned to the state by the beneficiary.

Bratislava, November 29, 2021 - After the city council, the Antimonopoly Office has approved the establishment of a commercial company for the Grӧssling Spa. By signing the contract today, a company of two partners was established, which will ensure the reconstruction and operation of the Grӧssling Spa and the Grӧssling Municipal Library. The city has acquired a partner who will partly help with the financing so that the city budget is not burdened.

Bratislava, May 25, 2021 - The use of financial instruments co-financed by Euro funds is currently hampered mainly by the ossified Euro fund system. Banks Have Provided Almost €800 Million Worth of Loans as Part of SIH Anti-Corona Guarantees

Bratislava, March 9, 2021 (TASR) – The Slovak Investment Holding Anti-Corona Guarantee 2 (SIHAZ 2) succeeds a previous scheme of the same name (SIHAZ 1) that encourages several commercial banks to provide business loans safeguarded by the state-run holding. The total number of banks participating in SIHAZ 1 was eight; in the case of SIHAZ 2, it was 11. In other words, almost all commercial banks in Slovakia that specialize in funding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have participated in the scheme.
